Cornet

I’m 21 and I’m currently studying French and Spanish at the University of St Andrews. I started playing in primary 6 under the tuition of Alison Hall, then in 2013 I started my brass band journey when I joined the Tullis Russell Mills Band organisation. Starting in their youth band, I then went on to play in their Intermediate Band, finishing off my time in the rep seat in the Senior Band. I joined the ‘Co’ in 2018, and after just over a year in the band, I went on a year abroad to Switzerland to teach English, where I had the opportunity to play at the Swiss National Brass Band Championships in Montreux. Joining the ‘Co’ gave me the chance to play at contests I never thought I would experience; the Royal Albert Hall, the British Open and winning the Championship Section at the Scottish Championships. Outside banding, I have qualifications in teaching Highland Dancing, Ballet and Tap.
