Solo Horn
I started playing horn in 2007 at the age of 12 with the Unison Kinneil band. There I worked up through the youth structure before moving up into the senior band and then eventually onto solo horn. Highlights of this time include winning the Fife Charities Contest in 2012 and the 2nd Section Scottish Championships in 2013. In 2013 I was asked along to “the Co” (Co-operative Funeralcare Band at the time) on 1st horn. I have been playing solo horn with the band since 2016. Alongside playing at the British Open, Nationals and the Europeans highlights have included winning the Scottish, Dr Martins Trust Contest and the Land of Burns Contest. I live in Bo’ness and work as a plant operator at the Grangemouth refinery. When I can get spare time in between shift work and band I like to travel.
