Fife Daytime Brass and FCBA Host Inclusive Conducting Event with Katrina Marzella-Wheeler

Lochgelly, Fife — This Monday, 28th April, Lochgelly Band Hall will host an exciting conducting session led by Katrina Marzella-Wheeler, Principal Conductor of the cooperation band. Organized by Fife Daytime Brass in partnership with the Fife Charities Band Association, this special event is aimed at women over the age of 40 with an interest in conducting — but all are welcome, whether as participants or spectators.

Designed as an informal “conducting get-together” rather than a formal masterclass, the session will offer a relaxed, supportive environment where attendees can try conducting a full brass band, learn new skills, or simply watch and enjoy. The afternoon will also include a break and an informal Q&A session with Katrina.

“There’s a real focus on creating opportunities for those who may have previously missed out, accelerating change, and learning together,” says Katrina Marzella-Wheeler. “It’s about sharing ideas, making music, and supporting each other.”
